Para Joaquín / For Joaquín...

Hola amigas mías...

hace tiempo encontré las indicaciones para hacer un chaleco partiendo de un hexágono, pero por más que traté de hacer algo, nunca me resultó... luego encontré otro patrón y con ese pude hacer un chalequito para Joaquín... aquí tengo un par de fotos.. medias borrosas pero algo es algo.. luego cuando lo termine publicaré más.

long time ago I found directions to make an hexagon jacket.. I tried once but it didn't work... then I found another pattern and using it I made a jacket for Joaquín.. here I got a couple of pics ... they are a little bit blurry, but once I finish it I will post more...

les quiero contar que mirando en internet encontré unas fotos de las bufandas novedosas donde no se teje si no que la lana se pone en un anillo y luego se dejan colgando los hilos para darle un look casual. Para ponerla se toman los hilos y se ponen alrededor del cuello y luego se pasan por el anillo... CHARAAAAANNNNN....

Bueno, en un ataque de inspiración hice tres al hilo... y una de ellas es la siguiente hecha para mi amiga Vane.

Want to tell you that surfing the internet I found some pics of scarves, very inspiring!.. you will see that you don't have to crochet anything... just use a wood ring (or any ring) and leave the yarn loose ... you'll have lines in diferent colors... then you take all lines together, pull them around your neck and pass through ring... CHARAAANNN...

I made 3 of them in a row ... this is a pic of the one I made for my friend Vanessa....

Mañana es el cumpleaños de mi papá / Tomorrow is my Dad's B-Day

Buenos días...
Hoy le quería escribir a mi papá... mañana es su cumpleaños Nro. 55 y realmente me doy cuenta de que el tiempo pasa muy rápido. Parece que hace no mucho él estaba pasando los 40 y se sentía "lolo" (muy joven.. casi un adolescente)... y parece que hace no mucho nos mudamos de Arica a San Carlos y de San Carlos a Valparaíso y de Valparaíso a Santiago nuevamente...


Bueno, les quiero contar que mi papá es muy bueno. Ha cometido errores, como todos los padres y madres (porque nadie nos ha enseñado a ser padres), pero es el mejor de los papás porque desde antes de que nuestra mamá partiera fue valiente para lidiar con dos hijas grandes y una nieta... y ahora que ya le creció la familia (con un nieto, un yerno y un perro) tiene que lidiar con más cosas... pero seguro que él está feliz con eso

Te amo, Daddy. Eres el mejor. Gracias por tus chistes. Gracias por tu apoyo y no-apoyo. Gracias por amarnos. Gracias por ser nuestro papá.

G-Day!!
Today I want to send a message to my father. His Birthday Nr. 55 will be tomorrow and I realize that time flies... Not so long ago he was turning 40 and he felt so young (almost a teenager!) and not so long ago we moved from Arica to San Carlos, and from San Carlos to Valparaíso, and from Valparaíso to Santiago again...

Well, I want to tell you that my dad is a good man. He has made some mistakes, as every single dad and mom (nobody taught us to be parents), but he is the best father ever... and the braviest 'cause before our mom left this world, he had to deal with two big girls and a grand-daughter.. and now that family is bigger (he won a grand-son, a son-in-law and a dog) he has to deal with more issues, but I'm sure he's happy with that...

I love you Daddy. You are the best. Thanks for the jokes. Thanks for support and no-support. Thanks for loving us. Thanks for being our Dad.
